| Colorado man vies for attention of morons everywhere |

| Reality-TV boob still desperate for spotlight names his poor kid "Falcon" | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Fort Collins, Colorado - self-proclaimed storm chaser Richard Heene became the center of attention, but only briefly, for it was actually his six-year-old son who was thought to be trapped inside of a home-made hot air ballon some 7,000 feet above Colorado. Chubby, middle-aged housewives everywhere sympathized with Heene, the effects of which came in as a close second to the fame that for so long had eluded him. Numerous failed attempts to become an actor proved to be hints just-not-quite-strong-enough to curb his quest for notoriety. Perhaps, in retrospect, the choice to name his kid "Falcon" might have been made at too high a price, but one has to admire his persistence, especially since all it took to get four uninterrupted hours of CNN coverage were countless man-hours from the Federal Aviation Adminitration, Denver International Airport, local EMT's and police, a cardbox box big enough to hold a six-year-old, and a triple dose of Nyquil. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
